Back in November the rally organizers hosted a rum tasting event featuring eight Central American rums. Shown above from right to left are: Zacapa 23 year (Guatemala), Flor de Cana 18 year (Nicaragua), Flor de Cana 7 year (Nicaragua) Flor de Cana 4 year (Nicaragua), Abuelo 7 year (Panama), and Herrerano (Panama).
Larry and Lena aboard Hobo kindly offered to hold the event aboard their Krogen 42, Hobo. From what we remember folks from all the rally boats located in Marina Riviera Nayarit attended. The winner: Abuelo from Panama. It was determined that the 23 year old Zacapa was in a league of its' own.
